I recruited theater artist and educator Megan Flod Johnson to envision and co-develop ShadowDreamScape at Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose. We co-created the exhibit and experience design, content development, hiring artists, and led staff and volunteer training on the exhibit and performance components.
Exhibit Description:
Visitors explored the world of shadow, light, and illusion in ShadowDreamScape, an interactive performance installation at Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose. Developed in partnership with artist Megan Flod Johnson, ShadowDreamScape was an exhibit environment exploring light and shadow through large and small- scale body experiences. Visitors participated in open play and artist performances following a dream narrative involving five characters- the moth, hand, figure, rabbit, and tangle. The installation offered experiences for visitors of all ages to interact with live performers and engage with shadow vignettes and exhibits.
