I was on the planning and implementation team for the Proud of My Family celebration at Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose. We held these events both in-person at the Museum and online. We hosted family story times, a special guest author Todd Parr (The Family Book), art activities, and parade (both virtual and in-person). I have worked closely over the past five years with our community advisory board and partners Santa Clara County Office of LGBTQ Affairs, SV Pride, Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Community Center, and The LGBTQ Youth Space to develop, implement, and promote our annual celebration. I created the educational programs, activities, and curated the videos for Proud of My Family.
I produced the event promotional materials and content for our 2021 hybrid Proud of My Family celebration.
