For three years I worked closely with the Alborz Academy to produce, curate, and install our Mother Tongue art gallery exhibit and youth artist reception celebrating International Mother Language Day.

Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose partnered with Alborz Academy to present youth artwork reflecting on how language impacts and creates culture, in celebration of International Mother Language Day.
Every year, the museum hosted this collaborative exhibit on-site, but due to the pandemic, the most recent artwork was created as a virtual exhibition.
About Alborz Academy:
The goal at Alborz Academy is to reach more students to teach culture, language, and heritage. In addition to this, we hope to continue our quest for students to receive foreign language credits, in various districts in Northern California. It is Alborz Academy’s mission to inform and educate modern Iranian-Americans to read and write Farsi, as well as learn the importance and beauty of the culture.

هدف البرز، آموزش زبان و زیباییهای فرهنگ ایران به علاقمندان می باشد. در همین راستا، البرز امکان دریافت واحد زبان دوم در مقطع دبیرستان و دانشگاه را برای دانش آموزان خود ایجاد کرده است. هدف البرز ترویج خواندن، نوشتن و مکالمه زبان فارسی می باشد
